Andrea Shaw
Kia ora, I am Andrea Shaw and I'm passionate about Biology. I teach Anatomy and Physiology with a focus on revision techniques at Whitireia and WelTec in New Zealand. I look forward to working with you.
Andrea Shaw is an experienced educator with more than 28 years of experience in teaching Biology and Science. Andrea holds a Bachelor's degree in Zoology from Canterbury University and a Teaching Diploma. Her strong academic background in both Biology and Education has allowed her to develop a deep understanding of the subject matter and the pedagogical approaches that are most effective in helping students learn.
In addition to her work as a secondary school teacher, Andrea has more recently served as a tutor at Whitireia and WelTec for 5 and a half years. In this role, she has worked with students pursuing vocational qualifications in Nursing, Paramedics and Animal Care, helping them develop the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in their chosen careers.
Throughout her career, Andrea has demonstrated a commitment to continuous learning and professional development. She has regularly attended workshops and conferences, and has actively sought out opportunities to expand her knowledge and skills. As a result, she is a highly effective educator who is able to engage students and help them achieve their full potential.
