As an anthropologist with a polar focus, Andrea has an interest in how humans interact with Antarctica, especially regarding Antarctic environmental management, governance, and tourism. She works part-time as a tourist guide in the Arctic and Antarctic.
Daniela Liggett’s research evolves around human engagement with the Antarctic and Southern Ocean and focusses, in particular, on human activities and their impacts, regulation and management, Antarctic geopolitics and governance, science-policy interactions, and the complex relationships between users and providers of environmental forecasts.
